We made the trek on what was still another cool and misty day. Cades des Anglais is located up a narrow valley south-east of town. The moderately steep (at times) path was slippery from the rain and made the ascent interesting at times. We made the mistake of telling no one of our plans for the day and were fortunate that one of us was not hurt as we were the only trekkers on the path that day. We did stop and chat with one local woman who was out collecting mushrooms, but we saw no one else until we were back on the road close to home.
