My Mattox Family

James Mattox of Tennessee is my great-great grandfather. Birth date estimated from his 1850 and 1860 census was either 1805 or 1812. His parentage is unknown. His wife was Elizabeth Moyer. They married in 1837 in Vigo County, Indiana. Her background is unknown as well. She was born circa 1822 in Indiana. From her 1880 census, her father was born in Canada and her mother born in Ohio. Prime candidates for her parents are David Moyer and Susan Lutz, but there is no definitive proof of that relationship.
